Supporting College of Wooster baseball the right way.

The Wooster Diamond Boosters is an independent volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the College of Wooster baseball program through fundraising, events, sponsorships, and community engagement.

We operate independently and in accordance with applicable College of Wooster policies, NCAA rules, conference requirements, and local laws.

Our role

The Wooster Diamond Boosters exists to encourage support for the baseball program through organized fundraising, volunteer activity, event participation, sponsorship outreach, and alumni and family engagement.

Our organization is separate from the College of Wooster, and booster participation does not create authority over team decisions, recruiting, admissions, roster management, or athletics operations.

What boosters may not do

  • Boosters may not recruit prospective student-athletes on behalf of the program.
  • Boosters may not contact prospects, their families, or their representatives to influence enrollment or athletics participation decisions.
  • Boosters may not provide extra benefits, gifts, cash, discounts, transportation, lodging, meals, or special arrangements that are not generally available.
  • Boosters may not promise athletic advantages, admissions influence, roster opportunities, playing time, or special treatment in exchange for support.
  • Boosters may not use donations, sponsorships, or NIL-related opportunities as recruiting inducements.

What support is appropriate

  • Making donations to approved booster efforts and fundraising campaigns.
  • Supporting public events, golf outings, raffles, and sponsorship initiatives that are reviewed and operated appropriately.
  • Promoting the baseball program through general community awareness and fan engagement.
  • Volunteering time, expertise, and event assistance in ways that align with college and NCAA expectations.

Extra benefits and special treatment

Contributions and participation in booster activities do not entitle any person to recruiting benefits, athletics preferences, player access, or other special treatment.

Donor recognition, sponsorship visibility, and event participation are intended to celebrate support for the program, not to create improper influence or benefits for student-athletes, prospects, or their families.

Questions and reporting

If a supporter has questions about whether a proposed action, gift, message, event idea, sponsorship activation, or player-related interaction is appropriate, the safest step is to ask before acting.

The Wooster Diamond Boosters encourages all compliance-sensitive questions to be reviewed with the appropriate College of Wooster athletics leadership or compliance contact before any action is taken.

When in doubt, pause and request guidance before offering support, publishing promotions, or communicating with prospective student-athletes.
